With the numerous prescription and over-the-counter medications available, some parents and caregivers might choose to try complimentary and integrative medicine as an alternative. It is important to remember that there are a variety of "natural" remedies that are available, but very few of them have strong evidence to support their use. This data is even more scarce in the pediatric population.
